What To Expect

Some common questions asked:

Who attends Central Church?

EVERYONE is welcome at Central Church. People throughout Desoto County attend Central Church. Many are young, while others are not so young. Some are married, while others are not yet married. Some are financially challenged, while others are financially comfortable. Some are young in the faith, while others are established in the faith. In other words, Central is just like YOU! We hold the motto "come as you are".

What about my children?

A secure nursery and Children's ministry is provided as a convenient benefit for the parents/guardians of infants through 5th graders. Central's children's ministry is staffed by experienced volunteers that will lovingly care for your children in a safe, warm and engaging atmosphere. All volunteers in children's and youth ministry have submitted themselves to a background check in order to serve.

What should I wear?

We want people to feel comfortable at Central. Most participants wear casual attire. In fact, you will never see our staff in "dress clothes". If you want to wear dress clothes, you're more than welcome to.

What's the worship like?

Music is a major part of our worship. The music is typically a contemporary blend. We sing many modern songs. Worship is typically centered on a relevant teaching that the Pastor (or other speaker) has been lead to deliver. Each Sunday will feature a message (sermon) that will challenge you to think, learn and mature in your walk with Christ.

Will I be asked to give money?

We believe tithing is an act of worship. We also believe that tithing is the responsibility of Central members, not guests. As a guest, you will not be expected to give any money.
